Who Can Apply / Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for consideration of your business plan, the following criteria must be satisfied:

  • You must be a Ghanaian citizen (show proof) and between the ages of 18 and 35 years old;
  • You must have completed at least Junior High School (JHS);
  • The proposed business must be situated within the national borders of Ghana and must employ Ghanaians;
  • The proposed business must not involve gambling or the production or distribution of any alcoholic beverage, tobacco or weapon. It must not involve any activity that is illegal under the laws of Ghana;
  • You must be prepared and available to explain and defend your business plan/idea in person and provide consent for the possible filming of the process;
  • YES reserves the right to carry out further background checks on you and holds the right to disqualify you should the need arise.
  • You must be ready to operate the business on a full time basis

The Selection Process

Apply Dates for the submission of applications are set and announced by the YES Secretariat. Applications forms can be submitted via email, postage, and by sending it to the YES Secretariat.
Training An Entrepreneurship Business Clinic will be held for all applicants across the country. This Clinic will focus on helping the entrants to streamline their Business Proposals/Plans.
Apply After the Clinic, applicants will be required to submit their Business Proposals/Plans by an announced date.
Shortlist YES will short-list the Business Proposals/Plans received. Applicants who have been shortlisted will be notified.
Presentation The short-listed applicants will be invited to a Personal Presentation Session (PPS) on a scheduled date.
Award Applicants who are successful following the Personal Presentation Session (PPS) and further verification/checks will be announced as Beneficiaries.
